Need a problem solver

I bought this app a few weeks ago while on vacation. At first, it worked really well and I was able to edit my pictures. However, now, whenever I try to edit one that is already on my I-pad, the picture flashes up for a second and then disappears. How can I fix this? Reserving rating/judgement until I can resolve this problem. Thanks in advance for your help.
